Meritage Hospitality Group has acquired 20 Wendy's units in Atlanta, reports MLive.

Meritage closed the deal on Aug. 28, bringing its total portfolio to 141. The publicly-traded company also recently added restaurants in Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North and South Carolina and Virginia.

Meritage has been remodeling its Wendy's restaurants recently and conducting some human resources-related house cleaning in an effort to get a "whole new brand of employee."
