Milwaukee man lands Cousins Subs sweepstakes prize

December 14, 2016

A Milwaukee, Wisconsin, man scored big in Cousins Subs' Bucky's Bash sweepstakes, as part of the Wisconsin-based brand's dedication and support for University of Wisconsin athletics, according to a news release.

The sweepstakes — which ran from Oct. 24 to Nov. 20 — urged fans to enter daily for chances to win a football-fan-sized LED TV, sound bar system and a Cousins Traveling Sub Shop-catered party for 20 people. Milwaukee resident, Adam Paschen landed that grand prize, claiming the fruits of his efforts from 9,000 other entrants.

As winner, he scored an at-home tailgate "experience" during the Badgers' final football game of the season. The party featured sub sandwiches, fries and Wisconsin cheese curds, all from the Traveling Sub Shop parked right outside his home.

"I was beyond excited to be selected as the grand prize winner of the 'Bucky’s Bash' sweepstakes and never won anything before," said Paschen, after his tailgate experience, as quoted in a news release. "My favorite part was being a host and having friends over to enjoy themselves, free food and to watch UW play from a new TV. It felt pretty cool knowing that the Traveling Sub Shop was out there just for me."

As a sponsor of UW Athletics, Cousins Subs will sell select sub sandwiches at the school's Kohl Center during all men's Badgers basketball and select hockey home games throughout the 2016-2017 sports season.

"As a Wisconsin-based sub shop, we honor our local roots and enjoy giving back to residents who have supported us all these years," said Justin McCoy, vice president of marketing at Cousins Subs. "We are thrilled to be able to provide a memorable experience to someone who embodies Wisconsin pride such as Adam Paschen."
