Sun-Sentinel (Florida): A Lake County jury decided that an injury sustained by Thomas Shepherd, 60, was worth just $250,000 to him and his wife, Melba, finding Taco Bell and an onion supplier liable in a mixed verdict lawsuit.Shepherd sought $5 million in damages from the fast-food company after he experienced myriad continuing problems after eating, what he claims, tainted onions in a bean burrito.
