Mo. Taco Bell drive-thru hijacked
February 12, 2009
The Sedalia Democrat: Pranksters hijacked the intercom system at a Sedalia, Mo., Taco Bell drive-thru recently and broadcasted obscenities at customers trying to order. The franchise owner filed a police report and has apologized to customers.
Such pranks have happened at other drive-thrus, but Taco Bell spokeman Rob Poetsch said their occurrence is becoming less frequent as francisees have upgraded to digital headsets that use frequencies more resistant to interference.
