Mr. Goodcents Subs & Pastas adds flatbread pizza to menu

March 14, 2010

Mr. Goodcents Subs & Pastas, one of the Midwest's fastest-growing subs and pasta quick-serve franchise concepts, recently launched its newest menu item: flatbread pizza.

The 10-inch rectangular-shaped flatbread pizza is served in a single-serve portion with a choice of three flavors – Pepperoni, Chicken Alfredo and Cheese. Prices start at $4.49 and vary by location.

"Our goal is to continue the Mr. Goodcents Subs and Pastas tradition of providing our guests with exactly what they want — fresh, different, higher quality menu items," said Joe Bisogno, CEO and founder of Mr. Goodcents Subs and Pastas. "We are pleased to offer the Flatbread Pizzas and are confident that it will quickly become a customer favorite."

Based on sales success in select test markets, the flatbread pizza, served hot in less than two minutes, will be rolled out to the entire system and become a permanent menu fixture. The company also plans to roll out two new flavors in the summer, a meatball pizza and chicken bacon ranch pizza.

The flatbread pizza, as well as the chain's sub sandwich and pasta menu, is available for delivery. Mr. Goodcents offers 18 varieties of sub sandwiches, including the Penny Club, Italian Sub and Meatball Sub, with all sandwiches made from freshly sliced-to-order meats and cheeses on freshly-baked bread. The dinner daypart accounts for 40 percent of total sales, which includes pastas — Mr. Goodcents' other signature menu item.
