Nashville council hopes to rescind menu labeling

The Tennessean: Three Nashville Metro councilmen have said that the Metro health board overstepped its bounds last week by requiring chain restaurants to post calorie information on their menus and are are sponsoring an ordinance to abolish the measure. They said it puts an "unreasonable financial burden" on affected restaurants. The Metro Council is scheduled to tackle the issue Tuesday.
