WESTBURY, N.Y. —Nathan's Famous Inc. June 22 reported results for its fiscal year ended March 25, 2007.
Earnings from continued operations increased 34 percent, up from $3.8 million last year to $5.2 million in fiscal year 2007. Total revenue from continued operations increased 11 percent, up from $41 million for the same period last year to $45 million in FY '07.
Net income for the fifty-two week period dropped .01 percent, down from $5.6 million in FY '06 to$5.5 million in FY '07.
Earnings from continued operations for the thirteen weeks ended March 25, 2007, increased by 111 percent, up from $581,000 for the same period last year to $1.2 million.
Total revenue from continued operations increased 12 percent, up from $8.7 million to$9.8 million for the thirteen weeks ended March 26, 2006.Net income for the period stood at was $1.2 million up from $630,000 for the same period last year.
Nathan's products are distributed in 49 states, the District of Columbia and 14 countries through its restaurant system, Branded Product Program and retail licensing activities. As of June 21, 2007, the Nathan's restaurant system consisted of 293 franchised or licensed units and six company-owned units featuring the Nathan's and Kenny Rogers Roasters brands.
