Nathan's Famous Inc said it will use neighborhood kitchen operator and logistics hub, Reef, to grow the longtime hot dog-centered brand nationally. Reef has a national network of more than 70 neighborhood kitchens in 18 cities that permit food entrepreneurs and restaurants open and expand their delivery businesses, a news release said.
"We've worked fervently to expand Nathan's Famous to fans across the country, and this partnership with Reef Kitchens grows our footprint even more," James Walker, senior vice president, Restaurants, said in the news release. "We look forward to beginning this journey with Reef in Manhattan, expanding our reach in the city we call home, and looking at future markets like Miami, Los Angeles, Portland and Minneapolis in the coming months."
In fact, Reef's Manhattan neighborhood kitchen is now serving Nathan's Famous' new menu. Customers in the New York City borough can order Nathan's via UberEats, Postmates and Grubhub, with DoorDash beginning in August. Menu items will include the brand's hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries, the NY Cheesesteak by Pat LaFrieda and Nathan's new line of premium burgers and fried chicken sandwiches.
Nathan's distributes its products in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam and 14 foreign countries.
