Nathan's Famous turns in solid Q1

WESTBURY, N.Y. — Nathan's Famous Inc. posted strong increases in net income and revenue for the quarter ended June 25, 2006, the first of its 2007 fiscal year.
According to a news release, net income increased 19.4 percent to $1.4 million versus $1.2 million last year. Total revenue from continuing operations, which includes bulk sales of hot dogs to the foodservice industry, increased 7.6 percent to $12.2 million versus $11.4 million last year.
The company did not report comparable-store sales.
