Nation's DQs give free cones for a cause Monday

Monday, March 20, is the day when all U.S. Dairy Queen locations — aside from those in malls — give away small vanilla cones as part of the chain's participation in the fund drive for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. American Dairy Queen-franchised locations have donated more than $120 million to the network's hospitals over the last 32 years that they've participated in the annual campaign, according to a news release.

This is the third year the chain has also run its free cone giveaway at the same time as its fundraising efforts for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Last year, the U.S. restaurants raised more than $200,000 in one day for the campaign.
