Nestlé Café marks morsel’s 75th anniversary with charitable campaign

September 12, 2014

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the chocolate chip morsel, Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip is teaming up with the Cookies for Kids' Cancer organization.

The partnership will help fund research grants for five pediatric cancer centers around the country and will kick off on Sept. 13 – National Childhood Cancer Awareness Day – and continue through Oct. 31.

According to a news release, Nestlé Toll House Cafés will accept donations for Cookies for Kids' Cancer throughout the campaign and, in exchange for making a $1 donation, guests will receive a $1 coupon to be used on a subsequent visit.

Guests can also make direct donations to the charity at https://supportcookiesforkidscancer.org/NestleCafeGoodCookies.

The brand has set a collective goal of raising $500 per location, which would equate to $50,000 by the campaign's end.

"As we celebrate 75 years of helping families create warm memories with our trademark chocolate chip morsels, it's the perfect time for us to show how grateful we are for our biggest supporters – their children," President/Founder Ziad Dalal said in the release. "We hope everyone will stop by our cafés and make a donation to Cookies for Kids' Cancer, whether they purchase a treat or not. These special kids need our help, and this is a simple way for each of us to do our part."
