Nestle Toll House Cafe announces opening of first C-store location

Nestle Toll House Cafe by Chip has gone "C-store," opening its first convenience store-based unit on South River Road in Des Plaines, Illinois, a news release said. 

"Every new cafe opening is exciting to us, but this one is extra special because it marks two important milestones: Our only cafe in Des Plaines; and the only existing cafe located inside a convenience store-gas station," brand franchisor Crest Foods Inc. President Ziad S. Dalal, said in the release. "We are excited to open up in this great location and to begin serving our freshly baked treats to this wonderful community."

This is the fifth Illinois unit for the brand, which has 160 units system-wide.
