Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip has opened its first store in Arkansas, at the Mall at Turtle Creek in Jonesboro.
The Jonesboro location marks the 133rd café system-wide.
"The rush of back-to-school shopping is the perfect time to slow down and enjoy some sweet treats and a great cup of coffee," said Shawnon Bellah, senior vice president of Global Operations for Nestlé Toll House Café, in a company press release. "We couldn't have timed our Arkansas debut much better, and we know our café is going to be a very popular addition to the Mall at Turtle Creek and to the city of Jonesboro for a long time to come."
The café is holding its grand opening celebration on Aug.14 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., featuring a ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m. with the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Harold Perrin and State Representative Harold Copenhaver, as well as complimentary mini cookies.
The storefront features digital menus displayed on eight LED screens.
"The opportunity to bring the best that Nestlé has to offer to my hometown is absolutely thrilling for me," said franchisee John Williams. "Nestlé Toll House Café has something for everyone, and with our refreshing smoothies and desserts, we're the perfect respite for bustling shoppers."
