Nestle Toll House Cafe says 'Let the chips fall where they may' ... as long as it's a record

May 10, 2019

Surely everyone has National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, May 15, on their calendars, and Nestle Toll House Café is hosting an event to celebrate it. The brand said in a news release that it would try Wednesday to set a Guiness World Record for "Longest Line of Cookies."

To accomplish this sweet feat, the brand will join with the Dallas Cowboys at 10 a.m. local time that morning at the team's headquarters in Frisco and will arrange more than 3,000 chocolate chip cookies in the shape of a football.

Likewise, the event includes at least enough cookies for about 3,000 onlookers. Following the event, Nestlé Toll House Café By Chip will donate any uneaten cookies to the Salvation Army and FoodSource DFW. An official Guiness World Records adjudicator will be on-hand to verify the record when/if it is broken.

"We've been planning this for months and couldn't be more excited to take on this record-breaking challenge," Nestle Toll House Café by Chip franchisor, Crest Foods Inc., founder and President Ziad Dalal, said in the release. "Nestle Toll House cookies always evoke warm memories, and with this event, we plan to create another unforgettable memory for all of North Texas.
