NetWaiter has enhanced its social widget feature, making online marketing to local customers even easier for restaurants, according to a company press release.

Several years ago NetWaiter introduced, as part of its marketing platform, a ‘social widget’ to let restaurant owners and managers post messages to customers visiting their online ordering site. Common posts from restaurants include information about daily specials (i.e. the soup of day), promotions, upcoming events and new menu items.

Restaurateurs can now take advantage of the newly-enhanced social widget, which connects to a restaurant’s Facebook page and Twitter feed, according to the release. With this upgrade, restaurants can use the social widget to post messages to all of their sites at the same time. By linking their social media sites to their NetWaiter account, restaurants can simultaneously post one message to multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, their individual NetWaiter site and myNetWaiter.

"The savviest restaurants market themselves heavily on social media," said David Liebers, a lead developer at NetWaiter. "This new enhancement allows you to make one post and send it to all your platforms. It’s an efficient solution to an everyday job that’s so important to the operations of a restaurant."
