New chicken concept takes aim at Chick-fil-A

The Charlotte Observer: A Charlotte, N.C.-area restaurant group has opened a chicken sandwich fast food restaurant with the goal of building a chain to compete with Chick-fil-A. Captiva Restaurant Group recently opened Tenders Fresh Food in Cornelius, N.C. Its menu focuses on chicken as well as pork tenderloin sandwiches, which have so far outsold chicken sandwiches.
Tenders will purposely offer fewer menu items than Chick-fil-A, but unlike its competitor, will be open on Sundays.
