NRA, Gerson Lehrman Group partner for food safety conference

NEW YORK — Gerson Lehrman Group and the National Restaurant Association have announced a new alliance designed to strengthen the access to food safety and supply information for restaurants and food suppliers at the NRA's Food Safety in the 21st Century Marketplace: Best Practices Throughout the Supply Chain. The conference will be held Oct. 22-23 at the DoubleTree Hotel Atlanta-Buckhead.
 
Through this relationship, the NRA will tap into the Gerson Lehrman Group network of experts to identify the most relevant thought leaders to discuss the latest issues and trends in food safety and supply, and their effects on the restaurant industry.
 
Registration is open for the Atlanta conference, which will explore facets and challenges of food safety at all points in the foodservice supply chain. The conference will focus on the following three themes:
  • Harmonization of Global Food Safety Standards
  • Emerging Supply Chain Issues
  • Collaboration to Improve Global Food Safety
Speakers include U.S. and international experts from restaurant and foodservice companies, distributors, government, allied industry organizations, consumer groups, and the scientific community.
