This summer, the National Restaurant Association said its ServSafe sexual harassment prevention webinars are available at no charge to the restaurant industry through the servsafe.com website. The initiative is a new training vehicle that the NRA announced at its show in Chicago last month that focuses on mitigating and managing overall work and safety issues for restaurants and the lodging industry.
"ServSafe Workplace is poised to become a comprehensive suite of training programs that equips employees and managers with the information they need to help manage emerging risks and advance the positive culture of the foodservice and hospitality industries," NRA Executive Vice President of Training and Certification Sherman Brown, said in the release. "This new product line ... should strengthen every establishment’s stance against harassment in the workplace."
In partnership with the Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance, ServSafe Workplace will also be expanded to include training to help managers and their teams identify and manage unconscious bias in the workplace later this year.
