For the fifth year, Dunkin' Donuts will return as an official sponsor of the ING New York City Marathon. As part of the sponsorship, Dunkin' Donuts provides runners with 12,000 gallons of hot coffee brewed in four coffee trucks in the Marathon's Start Village beginning at 1 a.m.
There will also be "cheering hubs" at all of the Dunkin' Donuts restaurants along the Marathon route. At these locations, fans who create posters to cheer on runners will receive free fleece caps to stay warm. Dunkin' Donuts will also donate 15,000 branded fleece caps to runners at the start-line.
The company will have a "Team Dunkin'" participating in the marathon.
The famous 26.2-mile race is Nov. 7 and will feature 45,000 runners. The Start Village, where Dunkin' Donuts will be stationed, will feature 600 volunteers.
