April 30, 2009
OKLAHOMA CITY — All Chick-fil-A restaurants in Oklahoma are honoring educators on Teacher Appreciation Day, May 5. Educators who show their school identification will receive free Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Strips (three-count) at any area restaurant from 10:30 a.m. until close.
"As the school year comes to a close, we want to honor those in the education system who tirelessly commit themselves to the teaching of our local students," said Jill Quarles, Chick-fil-A marketing consultant.
This market's participation in Teacher Appreciation Day is part of a long-standing tradition of the Chick-fil-A chain's commitment to education. The company has awarded nearly $25 million in scholarship awards to approximately 25,000 Chick-fil-A team members since the inception of the Chick-fil-A Leadership Scholarship 35 years ago.
