Online service launched for COVID-19 communications help

March 25, 2020

Despite, and also because of, the restrictions placed on restaurant businesses by the fight to end the spread of COVID-19, operators must continue to communicate with customers as the restaurant landscape changes.

To assist in that need, a group of public relations and communications experts have launched a live support service for restaurateurs, CoronavirusPRhelp.com, according to a press release that said the online resource is providing pre-priced, non-contractual services to help brands with the following tasks related to operations during the pandemic:

  • COVID-19 communications plan creation, review, updates.
  • Internal and external communications preparation.
  • Press release distribution and social media messaging.
  • News and social media monitoring.

"The COVID-19 outbreak is presenting unprecedented communications challenges, even for restaurants with internal PR/communications teams and outside agencies," said Brad Ritter, president of Ritter Communications, which is spearheading the service, in the press release. "Those without that support are easily overwhelmed by the crisis."
