Pa. Subway employee killed in robbery

WJAC TV (Johnstown, Pa.): A robbery at an Altoona, Pa., Subway restaurant ended with one employee dead, another wounded and an innocent bystander dead. The gunman allegedly gained entrance to the store at 5 p.m. after banging on the back door of the restaurant. A teenage employee opened the door and was fatally shot. The gunman, now in police custody, then shot another employee and demanded money. The third victim was shot as the robber left the store.
The Altoona Mirror reports that the Subway store is closed until further notice as officials grieve for the loss and assess the situation, said Nick Bennett, Subway development agent for the Johnstown, Altoona and State College market.
