Papa Johns answers fan calls, bringing back Beloved Cheesy Burger Pizza

Papa Johns is reintroducing its Cheesy Burger Pizza this summer, responding to strong customer demand for the return of the popular menu item, according to a press release.

The pizza, featuring a signature burger sauce, beef, tomato, dill pickle and mozzarella cheese on Papa Johns' never-frozen dough, has been a fan favorite for over a decade. Social media pleas and phone calls from customers convinced the company to bring it back.

"The Cheesy Burger Pizza has been a favorite for over a decade and fans have passionately let us know they want it back through endless comments, tweets and phone calls begging for its return," Kimberly Bean, VP of integrated marketing and menu strategy, said in the press release. "While other chains are going up against the burger, we're putting pizza first and staying true to our commitment by giving fans exactly what they want — pizza."

The Cheesy Burger Pizza is part of a returning "Cheesy Burger Trio" lineup, which also includes the Cheesy Burger Papadia and all-new Cheesy Burger Papa Bites. Nationwide availability begins June 13th.

Papa Johns has approximately 5,900 restaurants in approximately 50 countries and territories.
