A Papa Murphy's franchisee in Madison, Wisconsin, is continuing its support of the local community following the school shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Dec. 2024.
The franchise, owned by father/son duo Joel and Nicholas Meyer, donated 400 pizzas to school families on Jan 17, according to a press release.
In addition, the franchise will donate 50% of sales to support the school on Jan. 29 using promo code BELIEVE. The community event will be take place at the following greater Madison Papa Murphy's locations: Middleton, Madison, Sun Prairie, Baraboo, Stoughton, Janesville, Portage, Monroe, Monona, Platteville, Verona, Waunakee, Richland Center, Oregon, DeForest, Reedsburg and Prairie du Sac.
"We are deeply saddened by the events that unfolded in December," Joel Meyer said in the release. "While no gesture can undo the pain this community is feeling, we want to show our support in a way that's personal and meaningful — by providing a simple, yet heartfelt gift."
The Meyers, who have owned and operated Papa Murphy's in Madison for over 18 years, are part of The Meyer Group, which operates 52 locations across the Midwest.
"We are more than just a pizza company," Meyer said in the release. "We are neighbors, we are parents, we are members of this community — and we're here to help however we can."
Papa Murphy's has more than 1,000 franchised and corporate-owned locations across the U.S., Canada and the UAE.
