Planet Wings set for franchise growth

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. —Planet Wings has launched a national expansion plan, and is on course to sell 260 franchises by 2010, the company announced.
 
Planet Wings has partnered with Medina Enterprises to support business operations as the franchise expands on a national platform. With more than 22 years experience in franchise management, Medina functions as the holding company for several different franchises including Cuppy's Coffee, Smoothies & More, Planet Wings and San Gelato Café.
 
Franco Fidanza, founder and CEO of Planet Wings,began the concept more than 15 years ago to fill an untapped niche in the quick-service food market. Planet Wings restaurants offer eat-in, take-out and delivery options, and offers a selection of 24 wing varieties in addition to tacos, burritos, fresh salads, burgers, gyros, sandwiches and a full children's menu.
 
Planet Wings opened its first store in 1995 and has approximately 25 open locations in New York, New Jersey and Virginia.
