Polish operator now Spain’s largest KFC franchisee

AmRest Holding, a Polish restaurant operator, has acquired a 76.3 percent stake in Restauravia Grupo Empresarial, a Spanish restaurant company controlled by Corpfin Capital.

The Warsaw Business Journal reports that the transaction will be completed by late April and, as a result, AmRest will become the largest KFC franchisee in Spain.

The price has not been disclosed.

Restauravia operates 130 restaurants in Spain, including KFC and three others.

AmRest is the largest independent restaurant operator in Central and Eastern Europe. Its portfolio includes KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Applebee's and Starbucks.
