Popeyes' board member retiring

AFC Enterprises Inc., parent company of Popeyes restaurants, announced that John F. Hoffner is retiring from the board of directors following the expiration of his current term and will not stand for re-election at the annual shareholders meeting in 2013.

Hoffner has served on the board since 2006 and currently serves as the chair of the audit committee and as a member of the people services (compensation) committee.

"It has been a privilege to serve with my colleagues on our board and management team over these past seven years," Hoffner said. "Together, through our new strategic plan, I believe we have transformed Popeyes. The company's prospects for the future have never been brighter, and the value we have worked hard to deliver to all of our stakeholders has never been greater."
