Popeyes’ brings back most successful LTO ever

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen’s Chicken Waffle Tenders are back for a limited time. According to a news release, the tenders are the brand’s most successful LTO ever, first debuting last summer.

The offering includes all-white meat chicken breast strips marinated in Louisiana seasonings, dipped in a light waffle batter and fried. It is served with Popeyes' Sweet Honey Maple dipping sauce, fries and a biscuit for $4.99.

 "Chicken Waffle Tenders are a phenomenon, they were an immediate fan favorite and Popeyes guests have demanded their return," VP of Marketing, Hector Munoz, said in the release. "We've never seen anything quite like the response to this all-in-one sweet and savory combination so we're thrilled to give Popeyes guests what they have asked for – on Twitter, on Facebook and in local markets around the country – another chance to dip into an instant classic."

Popeyes' is promoting the LTOs return with the #WaffleTenders hashtag on social media channels, as well as a new commercial featuring spokesperson "Annie." The Chicken Waffle Tenders are available through June 29.
