Popeyes in viral Tiktok video shut down permanently

The Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in a viral TikTok video has been closed permanently. The video was filmed by a man allegedly delivering chicken to the closed restaurant, and as he flipped on the lights, he filmed rats scurrying across the floor and climbing the walls in the kitchen. The man said he has since been suspended from his job and started a GoFundMe account to help pay his bills. Popeyes has removed the franchise of the D.C.-area restaurant, according to a Washingtonian report, which noted the Popeyes sign being removed from the building.

The viral video has amassed nearly 2 million views on TikTok.
