The Central Michigan Chippewas and the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers have been announced as the participants in the inaugural Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, to be played Dec. 24 at noon in Nassau, Bahamas.
Popeyes Bahamas Bowl will be televised nationally in the United States on ESPN and broadcast on ESPN Radio.
According to a news release, those tuning into the game on TV will get a sneak peak of Popeyes' newest limited time offer, which will be available beginning Dec. 26.
"The entire Popeyes family congratulates the student-athletes, coaches, alumni, and fans of these two outstanding football programs, Central Michigan and WKU, on their selection to the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl," CMO Hector A. Munoz said in the release. "We’re looking forward to a competitive game in the Bahamas and have developed exciting ways for Popeyes lovers to stay connected to this historic bowl game at Popeyes throughout December."
Popeyes is celebrating its bowl sponsorship throughout December by offering guests the Bahamas Bowl Bundle Box, consisting of 10 pieces of Popeyes Bonafide Chicken, with two large sides and five Buttermilk Biscuits. The meal comes in a specially designed and portable Popeyes Bahamas Bowl Bundle Box.
