Popeyes to open in Halfmoon, NY

The Popeyes in Halfmoon, New York will open Jan. 28, according to a report in The Saratogian. The restaurant, at 483 Route 146 in Halfmoon, is in a newly constructed building. A grand opening is slated for 10:30 a.m. that day, according to a press release.
"We're proud and excited to join the Halfmoon and Clifton Park communities," Laddi Singh, the store's franchisee, said in the release. "The market is strong, the community is tight-knit, and we are very much looking forward to serving the neighborhood our food."
"The town of Halfmoon is very excited about the grand opening of Popeyes, we think it's another food establishment that will benefit the residents of our community. The town board and myself are extremely happy that they are here and that they will be part of our community," Halfmoon Town Supervisor Kevin Tollisen told the news outlet. "They have a unique niche in the food chain because of their Louisiana-style brand.
"I think it's a very positive thing for our community."
