Popeyes to try its hand at full-service dining in UK

Popeyes opened its first unit in the U.K. in November 2021, according a Mirror report. Now the brand will try its hand at full-service dining in the U.K.

The restaurant will open in Chelmsford, Essex, and have room for 46 diners.

"Chelmsford was the perfect place for our first sit-down restaurant," Tom Crowley, CEO at Popeyes UK, told the news outlet. "It's close to London but sits at the very heart of Essex, which is such a vibrant part of the UK with a close-knit community."
