Popeyes® Chicken & Biscuits New Chicken Sandwich Advances Commitment to Flavor Superiority
Big Flava Chicken Deluxe Hits Restaurants Nationwide
September 28, 2005
Popeyes' new offering is synonymous with quality. The white meat chicken fillet is hand-breaded and fried in the restaurants, resulting in fresher, moister and more flavorful chicken. The sandwich is topped off with a round, artisan bun with a French-style crust, tomato slice and full leaf lettuce.Marinated in peppers, onions and garlic, the chicken sandwich isn't shy about flavor. It is available in both "tame" and spicy versions. The bread - reminiscent of the New Orleans Po'Boy - and the nuttiness of the breading are a perfect compliment to the cayenne heat of Popeyes' chicken.
"Our customers will experience flavor from the inside out," stated Chef Billy Jacob, executive chef for Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits. "Since our chicken is marinated and freshly prepared in each restaurant, they will taste the flavor of the chicken followed by the freshness of the breading, lettuce, tomato and artisan bun."Popeyes also created its Big Flava Chicken Deluxe Sandwich with portability in mind. As convenience often impacts consumers' buying decisions, Popeyes has responded by introducing a chicken sandwich that is easily eaten and always enjoyed.About Popeyes:Popeyes is a leader in the New Orleans segment of the foodservice industry and is the world's second-largest quick-service chicken concept based on number of units.
