Pretzelmaker Facebook sweepstake promos new lemonade

Pretzelmaker/Pretzel Time has played into the flavored lemonade and tea trend with the addition of its own new Wildberry Lemonade as part of its mid-summer menu. The new flavor is being supported by an exclusive Facebook sweepstakes, "Pretzelmaker's Main Squeeze," found at www.facebook.com/pretzelmaker. Both brands are managed by NexCen Franchise Management Inc., a subsidiary of NexCen Brands Inc.
 
The new Wildberry Lemonade is a seasonal blend of lemons, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and cherries intended to complement Pretzelmaker's range of innovative pretzel items. The beverage is being offered in addition to the company's original lemonade.
 
In support of the Wildberry Lemonade product promotion, Pretzelmaker will give away one $100 American Express gift card weekly through the "Pretzelmaker's Main Squeeze" Facebook sweepstakes Aug. 5 - Oct. 13. Guests are invited to upload a picture of themselves with a Pretzelmaker's Wildberry Lemonade both to their profile and the Pretzelmaker fan page.
 
Every Wednesday for 10 weeks beginning Aug. 12, a fan will be selected at random to become Pretzelmaker's new "Main Squeeze." Winners will be awarded a $100 American Express gift card and will be featured as the brand's profile picture for the duration of the week.
 
"The Wildberry flavor, crafted for the summer season, is a new twist on Pretzelmaker's classic lemonade," said Jenn Johnston, senior vice president brand marketing, NexCen Franchise Management. "We opted to support the product launch with a Facebook initiative that directs customers to not only try the product, but also to share it with others. Our aim is to spark conversation and gain some real-time insight into how our customers experience our products."
 
Other brands to introduce flavored lemonades or teas this summer include Auntie Anne's with five mix-in lemonade flavors and Jack in the Box with three flavored iced teas.
