Mexican quick-serve, Del Taco, said it has refranchized all eight company-operated Reno, Nevada stores to existing franchisee, Mark Miller of 3 Brothers Restaurants, with a commitment from Miller to add 10 more stores over the next seven years. That commitment includes the specification that six of the new locations be in the Yakima and Spokane, Washington markets, with four more across 3 Brothers' current geographic operating area, a news release said.

John d. Cappasola, jr., president and chief executive officer of del taco, commented, "3 Brothers is an experienced and proven operator and developer, having already opened four Del Taco restaurants thus far in 2019," Del Taco President and CEO John D. Cappasola, Jr. said in the release. "Mark has a strong commitment to the Del Taco brand and we look forward to working together towards our mutual success for many years to come."

Del Taco said it's currently optimizing its restaurant portfolio to drive growth in new restaurant numbers largely through franchising. The brand expects to refranchize two more markets by the end of the Q1 2020. The brand now has  more than 580 restaurants across 14 states.
