API-based POS provider, Qu, has joined two-sided restaurant marketplace, Franklin Junction, to create a platform that uses a Qu tablet product to collect third-party delivery company digital orders on one interface and sends them straight to the kitchen, a news release said.
The platform allows restaurants to grow their delivery sales through "host" facilities where brands are mathed with kitchens that have capacity to produce specific menus. The result is boosted output and sales in previously untapped geographic areas for QSR and fast casual brands.
Qu's cloud kitchen tech solution, KitchenUP. powers the marketplace. Franklin Junction and Qu collaborated to use their expertise to launch this first-of-its-kind marketplace that features what the companies said is speedy ordering and omni-channel commerce capabilities. The KitchenUP platform uses a Qu-1Tablet solution, as well s Qu's 1-Menu platform that includes out-of-the-box unified menu management across brands and channels, with native third-party delivery integrations and multi-brand reporting.
The cloud kitchen concept can benefit any brand, the companies said, but Qu's with its cross-brand platform capabilities, KitchenUP enables a single restaurant brand to become a host kitchen to any number of other brands. Each brand's menus, orders, sales and reports are managed and available from a single interface.
"Our ability to leverage Qu's native platform and kitchen workflow expertise to quickly build a robust technology solution for our new host kitchen concept made our technology decision very easy," Aziz Hashim of Franklin Junction & NRD said in the release. "Qu's direct delivery integrations and multi-brand management capabilities are a perfect match for our needs."
