Qu gives delivery brands in-house alternative to third-party providers

Qu, formerly Gusto POS, has launched a delivery management platform to provide restaurant brands dependent on third-party delivery a better choice, according to a company news release

Qu's delivery management platform offers a cloud-based platform that empowers them to bring delivery in-house by allowing restaurants to automatically route orders to drivers and the kitchen. It also gives customers estimated delivery times and tracks deliveries in real time. 

"Delivery is a growing part of our business," Saladworks CEO Patrick Sugrue. "While third-party solutions have provided a convenient option to offer delivery services, the high cost is unsustainable for an industry already grappling with increasing food and labor costs. Qu's delivery management platform offers an excellent option to complement our existing efforts."

In addition, restaurants can optimize driver allocation and utilization based on smart-routing algorithms that minimize delivery times. The product's driver app for IOS and Android devices lets drivers accept orders, connect with customers for delivery clarifications, take payments and tips, and provide photographic and signature delivery confirmations. The product also provides customer and driver analytics, Qu CEO Amir Hudda, said in the release.

"Food delivery is one of the fastest growing segments in the fast casual and quick service restaurant industry," he said. "We're excited to offer an in-house delivery solution that allows our customers to continue to invest in delivery without the fear of margin erosion."
