October 9, 2015

Quiznos announced it has consolidated operations and marketing under two newly created global positions as part of its commitment to franchisee profitability and current growth.

Quiznos named George Jeffrey Global COO to lead all global operations, according to a company press release. Jeffrey, who has served as CEO of Quiznos Canada since 2009, has led the expansion and overhaul of Quiznos International operations.

Susan Lintonsmith was appointed global chief marketing Officer. Lintonsmith joined Quiznos as U.S. chief marketing officer in 2012 and has led the transition of Quiznos marketing from traditional media to a greater focus on digital and social media as well as the improvement and simplification of the U.S. menu, the release stated.

"As we look to the future growth of Quiznos, we're first and foremost committed to ensuring existing restaurants and franchisees thrive," said Doug Pendergast, Quiznos president and CEO. "Susan and George bring the tenacity and capabilities necessary to align global efforts and return Quiznos to its rightful place as the leader in the premium hot sandwich category."

In 2015, Quiznos focused on U.S. marketing and operations including a transformation of the supply chain model, testing and launching a simplified menu and rolling out a new POS system to help improve franchisee sales and profits. Consolidating global leadership allows Quiznos to work with both franchisees and master franchisees to align operations and marketing efforts to improve customer service, increase profitability and drive sales growth, the release stated.

Denver-based Quiznos has locations across the United States and 34 countries.
