Quiznos announced its first partnership with a major motion-picture studio and movie release.

Quiznos newest sandwich, the SatisFIRE, incorporates two varieties of hot peppers and draws inspiration from the brand's new partnership with 20th Century Fox's film "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials," in theaters Sept. 18. This is Quiznos first partnership with a major motion picture studio and movie release, according to a company press release.
The SatisFIRE features Quiznos’ slow-roasted pulled pork, honey ham, bacon and melted cheddar cheese, topped with sauteed onions, fresh jalapenos, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. A Serrano pepper aioli tops the sandwich, which is served between two slices of fresh Ciabatta bread.
"We are excited to be tying in with Fox and 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials,' " Quiznos Chief Marketing Officer Susan Lintonsmith said. "We played off the 'Scorch' undertones of the film to develop a limited-time toasted sandwich that is not only hot from a temperature perspective, but also brings the heat up the spice scale. Spicy menu offerings are on trend and the SatisFIRE delivers on its name with fresh sliced jalapenos and Serrano pepper aioli. It's an amazingly tasty sandwich."
The new, limited-time offer is available in stores nationwide. "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" is the highly anticipated sequel to the hit film "Maze Runner," the release stated. The film is based on the best-selling novel "The Scorch Trials," written by James Dashner. "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" opens in theaters everywhere Sept. 18.
"We are thrilled to be working with Quiznos on its first ever film partnership," said Zachary Eller, 20th Century Fox, senior vice president, marketing partnerships. "Quiznos has created a fun and engaging campaign with the film that takes advantage of consumers' desire for experiences and content."
In 2014, Quiznos shifted its digital strategy and launched Toasty.TV, an entertainment microsite focused on reaching Quiznos target audience, millennial males, the release stated. Toasty.TV is home to curated and original content like the parodies "House of Thrones" and "StarTourage."
Toasty.TV released its newest installment titled "The Burn Trials" Sept. 8 in partnership with 20th Century Fox, the release stated. In the parody, Quiznos combines the "Maze Runner" sequel, "Scorch Trials," with scenes typical of the Burning Man festival.
"Our core digital goals revolve around getting our fans to truly engage with Quiznos online and as a result, share our brand," Quiznos Vice President of Advertising and Marketing Chris Ruszkowski said. "Toasty.TV and the content housed on the site help us achieve that goal, validated by the large increases in visits to our online store locator each time we release new original content like 'The Burn Trials.'
