Raleigh-Durham dips deeper into Dunkin'

North Carolinians will soon have seven more places around the Raleigh-Durham area to steep their doughnuts in coffee, thanks to a multi-unit agreement signed between Dunkin' Donuts and current franchisee, Coastal Franchising Inc., a news release said. 

The franchisee already has 39 Dunkin' locations in the Carolinas, including five stores in Raleigh-Durham. Next year the first of the additional seven units will open. With seven additional outlets, Coastal Franchising, Inc. will more than double its footprint in the North Carolina market that includes Raleigh-Durham, Chapel Hill and the I-85 corridor. 

In all, the greater Greater Raleigh-Durham area has 90 Dunkin' Donuts stores and the state of North Carolina boasts 200  locations. The 67-year-old brand now has more than 12,300 locations in 46 countries around the globe.
