Rally's is planning to double the number of locations in the Indianapolis market within the next 10 years.
According to the Indianapolis Business Journal, there are currently 30 Rally's restaurants in the market, 24 of which are owned by privately-held parent company Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc.
The expansion plan is more franchise-focused.
Jennifer Durham, Rally's vice president of finance and chief development officer, told the IBJ that the growth will take place mostly in suburban areas.
Rally's and Checkers include 800 locations nationwide, with a plan to grow to 1,200 units in the 10 year timeframe.
Rally's has its roots in Indiana, first opening in Jeffersonville in the southern part of the state in 1985. It merged with Checkers in 1999.
