Rave Restaurant Group opens 2 Pie units in Texas

Rave Restaurant Group's express pizza model, Pie, has opened in Georgetown and Houston, Texas, bringing the total number of Lone Star State Pie stores to six, a news release said.  

Franchisee Yasin Mohammed opened his unit on Dec. 14 inside a travel center on North I-35 in Georgetown, and Franchisee Nick Mornin opened one on Langwick Drive in Houston.  

"Our Pie units have been very successful, and we couldn't be more excited to open two additional locations in the great state of Texas," Rave President Bob Bafundo said in the release. "Pie's unique quick-serve concept and flexible footprint make it a perfect fit for non-traditional locations like convenience stores, travel centers and airports."

The latest two Texas locations mark the seventh and eighth Pie units system-wide for the chain.

Rave Restaurant Group also owns Pie Five Pizza Co., a fast casual chain based in Fort Worth, and Pizza Inn, which has more than 300 units in the U.S. and Middle East.
