The Restaurant Loss Prevention and Security Association's President Vince Vittatoe of Bob Evans Farms Inc., resigned to take a position outside the restaurant industry, according to a company announcement. Board member James Brussow, Dave and Buster's Inc., will serve as interim president of the Association, for the rest of the year.
"While we wish Vince all the best in his new endeavor, he will be greatly missed by our organization," said Jim Forlenza, Executive Director, RLPSA, in a press release. "Vince was a tremendous asset to the growth of our group over the past several years and his leadership role as both a member of the Board, and as our President, will leave a void that will be difficult to fill."
"Vince’s leadership has prepared our organization for the challenges that lie ahead," said James Brussow. "He has left the organization on a solid foundation."
Vittatoe served as president after residing on the Board for two years.
"It has been an honor to serve as President of RLPSA," said Vittatoe in a statement. "I leave knowing that the future of the organization is in very capable hands and will continue to grow and evolve."
RLSPA will host the 36th Annual Conference, August 2-5, 2015, at the M Hotel Spa and Casino in Las Vegas. Conference topics will range from professional development and safety programs to fraud and active shooter demonstrations, the announcement said.
The education portion will feature speakers from the industry presenting on best practices coupled with solutions and insights.
