Restaurant Report Card rates restaurants' healthy options
March 29, 2009
Men's Health: The authors of the book Eat This, Not That! For Kids, David Zinczenko and Matt Goulding, have released a Restaurant Report Card for a variety of chains, including quick-serve concepts. Chick-fil-A and Subway earned the highest marks, both with an A-. The chicken chain has an abundance of menu items under 500 calories, and the sandwich chain has several sandwiches — minus cheese and mayonnaise — under 300 calories.
Chains with the lowest grades were Baskin Robbins, Carl's Jr. and Dairy Queen, all with a D+ for their high-calorie menu items.
