Rita's Italian Ice adds frozen lemonade to lineup

Rita's Italian Ice has launched Frozen Lemonades, which are now available for a limited time at all open Rita's Ice outlets through Labor Day, Sept. 2.

Rita's Frozen Lemonades feature a blend of Alex's Lemonade Ice combined with guests' favorite Italian Ice flavor. Rita's Alex's Lemonade Italian Ice is made with fresh lemon juice.

"Our new Frozen Lemonades are so refreshing," said Jonathan Fornaci, chief executive officer, Rita's. "My favorite is to combine our Mango Ice with our Alex's Lemonade Ice for the most amazing Frozen Lemonade ever."

Rita's named its Lemon Ice after Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure for all kids with cancer. In honor of the Foundation's namesake, the late Alexandra "Alex" Scott, Rita's renamed its Lemon Ice "Alex's Lemonade."

This year marks Rita's eighth annual Paper Lemon Fundraising Campaign and partnership with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. From June 5 to June 18, all Rita's Ice outlets will encourage guests to donate $1 for a paper lemon to raise money for the charity. The lemons will be used to build a "Wall of Hope," a visual tribute to the community's participation in the fundraiser, at each Rita's Ice location.
