Rita's Italian Ice awards development agreement for Minnesota market

A day after announcing a new development agreement for Kansas, Rita's Italian Ice has awarded another deal for Minnesota. The Minnesota agreement was signed with franchisees Adam and Angela Ailloni, who will bring the brand to the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

According to a news release, plans call for the first Rita's store opening at Diffley Marketplace, 1016 Diffley Road in Eagan, in early May, with a grand opening celebration planned for June. The couple plans to open 20 Rita's locations throughout the Twin Cities by 2020.

Rita's of Minnesota plans to employ 15 to 20 employees for the Eagan store and to cater to events, fairs and festivals.
