Rita's Italian Ice plans Kansas entry

Rita's Italian Ice has awarded franchise and area development agreements for Kansas to franchisees Jay Miller, Jeff Miller and Pat Reilly.

The three Wichita, Kan., residents experienced Rita's when they lived in Philadelphia, according to a news release. The team also owns Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Wichita.

"Wichita is a perfect location for Rita's, next door to Five Guys Burgers and Fries," Jeff Miller said in the release. "We invite guests to come try Rita's and see why we wanted to spread the popular brand to Kansas."

The new Rita's Italian Ice is now scooping at 2929 N. Rock Road, Wichita.
