The first Nevada location of Roberto's Taco Shop has reopened in the University Gateway building on South Maryland Parkway in Las Vegas after the Harmon Avenue strip mall it had been in was slated for redevelopment in January this year, a news release said.

"We're proud Roberto's is now open at University Gateway," said Frank J. Marretti III, founder, G2 Capital Development, in the release. "Their iconic taco shop has been a fixture in the neighborhood for 30 years and makes a welcome addition to our mix of eclectic eateries and other amenities. I'm sure it will be a frequent destination for everyone who lives and works around the UNLV corridor."

University Gateway's first floor retail also features a Crumbl Cookies store and soon-to-open Pizza Forte restaurant. Roberto's Taco Shop started in San Diego, but opened its first Nevada store 30 years ago in that Harmon Avenue strip mall. Today, 57 of the brand's 60 locations are situated in Nevada.
