Roy Rogers will open a flagship store in June inside a former Wendy's in Eldersburg, Maryland, on Ridge Road. Featuring the Frederick, Maryland-based chain's latest design elements as well as drive-thru and operational enhancements — including the brand's first digital drive-thru menu boards — the store is the second Roy Rogers for Carroll County.
Roy Rogers used location intelligence data gathered by SiteZeus to confirm the suitability of the Eldersburg site, according to a company press release.
"This location returned very favorable results when we ran it through SiteZeus," Roy Rogers' Executive Vice President Jeremy Biser said in the release. "It sits on a major artery through Eldersburg, on a pad site in front of a Walmart. We are confident it will be an ideal venue for us to showcase our new store design and operational enhancements, especially to the drive thru."
Biser said that while additional company-operated sites may join Roy Rogers' ranks, the brand's 5-year strategic growth plan calls for expansion to be driven primarily by franchise development.
Roy Rogers has 47 locations nationwide across six states.
