Sarku Japan continues the national expansion of its new free-standing concept, Teriyaki and Sushi Express, with the grand opening of a third New Jersey franchise.
Located in North Brunswick, the restaurant, with the tagline "Fresh Happens Here," features chefs preparing made-to-order sushi and signature teriyaki recipes on a Teppanyaki grill.
The new unit is franchised by Van Le, a former vice president at Bear Stearns.
"It is an honor to open New Jersey's third Sarku Teriyaki and Sushi Express concept," Le said. "I am thrilled to be able to introduce the North Brunswick community to a tasty and healthier fast food choice in addition to having more control of my time with my family."
Sarku Japan exists in more than 200 food courts in malls nationwide. Since 2008, Sarku Japan has introduced free-standing restaurants in major metro markets such as Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, D.C., and Los Angeles, as well as international markets such as South America.
The company's plans for expansion include opening 15 to 20 corporate and franchise stores per year over the next five years.
